In this exclusive model, InnoVacient collaborates with clients to identify needs based on a comprehensive market strategy and helps to identify potential acquisition targets through deep market investigation. Once potential assets are identified, InnoVacient works with the client to fully vet the opportunity through comps and other "build or partner" alternatives. InnoVacient also works with the acquisition target(s) to help align strategies, objectives, expectations and even culture. Additional program highlights include:
- Strategy Design – Collaborating with clients to understand portfolio objectives, create investment strategies and establish baselines for valuing and grading acquisition candidates both pre-acquisition and post-acquisition. InnoVacient also helps create the acquisition methodology, define the market landscape and develop the engagement framework so that both parties will understand the end-goals they are working towards;
- Search and Identify – Helping clients search, identify and properly value target companies that fit the value/risk profiles consistent with the client’s defined acquisition strategy. - Post-Acquisition Optimization – The post-acquisition work centers around the retention of innovation skills in order to maximize ongoing success of product development and leveraging the acquisition process as a repeatable "model" for additional acquisitions. In some instances client acquisition practices are further refined and into a repeatable Excellence Center model that can be leveraged for multiple acquisitions or incubation/acceleration needs.
